In addition to his work as a Cinematographer, Matthew has serves regularly as a Stereographer and on set Stereo Supervisor. From underwater documentaries, to live events, to some of the largest Hollywood productions ever to shoot native 3D, Matthew has lead the stereo camera teams to design, prep, shoot, and post visually stunning, immersive films. Matthew served as a Stereographer at Sony Pictures Studios in 2010-2011, consulting on 3D projects, contributing to product design, and teaching the ICG and DGA 3D seminars at the Sony 3D Technology Center. In 2012 he was elected to the Board of Governors of the International 3D Society (now the Advanced Imaging Society – www.theadvancedimagingsociety.com/). In 2013 he began lecturing at the University of Texas at Austin in 3D cinematography. In 2014, he co-founded the advanced imaging company Digital Quilt (www.digitalquiltvr.com) which creates stereo 360, photogrammetry, game engine integration, and motion capture experiences.
